Fans of Marvel’s movie series have been flooding into the cinema to watch the last part of Avengers, “Avengers: Endgame”, which has estimated to have grossed $644 million at the worldwide box office.
According to CNN, the movie has broken all the records of all other movies and that makes it the biggest global opening in film history, and it is expected to do more business over the weekends.
The movie has surpassed the last year’s “Avengers: Infinity War”, made $641 million for its opening around the world, made by Disney (DIS) and Marvel film.
In this part of the film, the Avengers return again to take on the evil Thanos, has earned an estimated $487 million overseas, according to the studio. Furthermore, it has broken previous records held by the 2017’s “The Fate of the Furious”.
In China, the “Endgame” has already made its mark for being the highest-grossing three day start. So far, the film has made $217 million there.
The action packed film had the biggest opening day ever in North America, according to CNN, which is estimated to be around $156.7 million.
According to Disney, the three-day domestic total for “Endgame” in the $310 million to $340 million range. “Infinity War” holds the current domestic box-office record, which made $258 million.
“Endgame’s” immense buzz and excitement around the world makes sense for its unprecedented highest engrossing opening box office.
The movie is a conclusion of a decade long series of block buster films of comic action heroes. All together Marvel Studios have made more than $19 billion worldwide.
Movie chains are screening the movie around the clock and adding showtimes to meet the demand of excited Avengers fans.
