Prime minister of Pakistan says that he can’t run his home in his wage. I’m sure he had never thought of a home running in 8k, or twelve thousands max a month in the same country. Clarifying Zaman Park House also doesn’t mean to realize that a poor in Pakistan is living in such a low standards that he can’t afford an average life in this country. Otherwise we couldn’t be making the sad news of major cuts in health and education sectors in the same country where Imran Khan lives.
Agree or not? It is a game of power and it will remains because the problem lies in the system, which allows the God fathers to be more powerful and makes the poor more poorer.
Dreams of ideal situations and Pakistan
Imran Khan has always showed that he has a great understanding and analysis of all the political and economic system of the world and he always wants the best for his own country. He mentioned Riyasat-e-Madina several times as his ideal for his land and people. He somewhere put the idea of the Scandinavian welfare states as his ideal but now the paradigm is shifted somewhere else. Riyasat-e-Madina, Saudi, Qatri Aid and the IMF dose has made something very hard for the people of this country to eat anyway. He has no other way than to swallow the cuts in education, health budget, with the half loaf along with the Chatni of austerity he/she has nothing to do with.
If Imran Khan was a comrade
The situation from which our PM is passing through, drags me back to the industrial revolution times. You have to conceptualize a poor Imran Khan wearing a rural dress, shifted from the hard farms of a local religious leader to a little urban camp having big hopes by the industry. But he was unaware of a thing there; the industrial leaders were the bourgeois, later the worst capitalists then. (The west can never be objective on this very point as this was the biggest obstacle to double and triple the size of the capital belongs to the local leaders of the time).
Feel yourself there on a workplace Imran Khan is working and beaten by his owner (employer) on the question of a wage. He is not able to feed his beloved sons Qasim and Suleman, and not allowed to get quality education from the same school where the kids of the bosses read. How could he be feeling that time as he has no other option than to take the life of his boss or himself along his family?
And the moment when one of his colleague been shooted by the same owner on the question of the duty hours. I can see Imran Khan of that time standing against such bad living conditions and for the rights of the people of his class. The same thing every exploited class anywhere in the world is expected to adopt in the worst times.
Poor PM working in Rough Farms
We don’t have to go so far. We can still find the same sights in the third world countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, where the confusion in economical and administrative systems still lies. You can imagine the same poor PM working in the lands of a local feudal in Sindh, and poor farmers of Madhya Pardesh, or the poor working in the rough farms of Punjab. If you don’t want to go that far too, just have a look on the urban life of these countries especially Pakistan. If you belongs to middle class or lower middle class Pakistani, you can imagine yourself in place of a PM which is very poor and can’t run his own home in his wage as a head of the state. Guide him that then how can he be leading you to the solutions.
When Prime Minister appeared on Hamid Mir program some hours back, For some time I could imagine Pakistan as a South Africa and Nelson Mandela addressing his nation. Unfortunately, the imagination collapsed by the harsh criticism by my colleague who paid the amount of eight thousands for electricity bill recently.
Can’t you see that after the worst exposure of the claims made by the same leadership on the moving container just outside this so called honorable house. Asad Umer’s lobby had to take the side and exchanged by the same old players who played for the military dictators back in history, they had to do that anyway.
You might have in your memories the moment when Shujaat Hussain was appointed as a Prime Minister of Pakistan and then replaced by the actual players later. Mr. Jamali has almost the same experience when in PML- Q, the times when the party fixed its place in Gen. Musharraf’s pockets. Today’s establishment is of the strategy slightly different from the past and playing very well. Putting the opposition behind the bars, muting a dissenting voice from every nook of the country, and playing the old power games, are things to analyze the deliverance, and actual results coming out of the confused state of governance.
More interestingly the helping hands now are unable to save Imran khan from any of the genuine and hard hitting challenges he is experiencing now a days. They let him stand alone on the situations the empire’s finger didn’t commit to help in; he had to prove by his governance and the capabilities he claimed standing on the floor of the container. The question of the governance and the flaws in system still are very relevant other than of the lobbying directed to the power corridors.
The campaign of patriots and traitors, Austerity, religion as a tool, all the tools to escape fade down with the changing situations. It can help the people to understand that the government is actually back to the pavilion, there is nothing but a known fraud which the people don’t want to name.
For me the most important question should come-up in debate that what if Imran khan get failed by his turn, which he already come-up with. Who would be the next option to vote for?
Will you be having an option to vote either?
