After keeping mum for a couple of days, newly engaged couple Iqra Aziz and Yasir Hussain has finally responded – in their own way – to the criticism and trolls after the Lahore Se Aagay star proposed Aziz at the Lux Style Awards.
The Suno Chanda actor – Iqra Aziz posted a picture on Instagram of her engagement ring and said, “Meri yeh khushi itni bari hai k mujhe sirf achi baatein aur duaein sunayi derahi hain.(My happiness is so massive that I can only hear good wishes and prayers) Love is to express, not to impress.”
She added, “My man expressed his love in front of the world which takes a lot of guts and I am blissful, you’r my ZING. Thank you for being so expressive, generous, caring, loving, chivalrous, realistic and noble. I love you.”

Meri yeh khushi itni bari hai k mujhe sirf achi baatein aur duaein sunayi derahi hain🌸 Love is to express, not to impress💕 My man expressed his love in front of the world which takes a lot of guts and i am blissful🕺🏻you’r my ZING👯♀️ Thankyou for being so expressive, generous, caring, loving, chivalrous, realistic and noble♥️ I love you…X . . . .
Addressing the hate, Aziz went on, “To whom it may concern: Agr larki proposal k waqt roti nahi balky ek khushi k lamhe ko hans kar enjoy karti hai tou yeh nahi kehte k planned tha. Rung main bhung na daalein aur apni khushi ka intezaar karein”.
“If a girl doesn’t break down while being proposed to and says yes ecstatically, that doesn’t mean it was all planned. Please don’t try to bring anyone down. Your time will come Thank you.”
Hussain, on the other hand shared a meme on his Instagram handle which read, “You can piss in public in Pakistan but can’t kiss in public.”
The couple came under fire after videos of their special moment went viral.
People were not happy with Yasir Hussain kissing Iqra Aziz publicly. The fans gave mixed reactions towards the whole marriage proposal. Some people commented that it was not ethically right to hug and kiss each other in public as it was against our cultural values and some people congratulated and encouraged them.
Here’s how people are reacting:
Shame on #YasirHussain and #IqraAziz, for grossly insulting our values, culture and religious sentiments by performing such vulgarity in public. What message you want to convey? are we living in a non Muslim country?
Vulgarity on its peak😡#IqraAziz #LSA2019 pic.twitter.com/HJZTFbV6J9
