On 22nd of July, a meeting will be held between Prime Minister Imran Khan and US President Donald Trump. Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal confirmed this news. PM Imran Khan will go on a visit to US on the invitation of Donald Trump.
The main focus of the visit will be to make relations better between the two countries. It is the first visit of Imran Khan to USA after taking over as PM. After the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) was designated as the global terrorist group by US state department, the very next day came the news of two leaders meeting. Last month Shah Mehmood Qureshi told reporters that PM Khan was invited by Trump in June but he could not go there because of the budget session.
In his previous statement on 3rd January Trump said that he wanted to build a better relationship with Pakistan but they house the enemy and take care of them. Then in March he acknowledged that now the relations between the two countries are very much better and he cannot wait to meet the new leaders.
