Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair the National Development Council (NDC) and Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa will be part of it along with adviser of finance and foreign minister.
Cabinet Division issued a notification in which it was told that the council will consist of eleven members and its main purpose will be set strategies and policies for the future and policies will be made such that it will affect the economic growth rate and it will increase further. National and regional connectivity for long time will also be considered and guidelines for regional cooperation will also be provided.
The council will be joined by Federal ministers from various departments that include Minister of Planning, Development and Reform, Foreign Minister, Finance Minister, Minister for Commerce, Secretary of Finance Division, and Secretary of Planning, Development and Reform, Secretary to Prime Minister, Secretary of Finance Division. Chief Ministers of all four provinces will also be part of NDC.
For the inquiry of the facts behind the rapid increase in loans in the past 10 years a commission was made. For heading it, many names came forward including IG Sindh, the former Director Intelligence Bureau (IB)who is Shoaib Suddle but Deputy Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and former police officer Hussain Asghar was selected and development comes when federal cabinet approves him.
