Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Sunday stated that he’s no more associated with the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and therefore cannot comment on the recent reshuffle in the party.
According to The Express Tribune, the former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar while talking to reporters in Wah Cantt said, he will remain in politics and will decide at the right time which party to join.
He further stated that it would be a hypocritical move to take oath as a member of Punjab Assembly since he has not accepted how the overall election results turned out to be.
Speaking to the media, Nisar pointed out at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government that it would not help the country’s cause by labelling people as thieves and robbers. Pointing out that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in this current ruling government has turned into a controversial entity.
“The government could have given relief to the people by reducing the prices of petroleum products. Instead, it chose to impose heavy taxes,” he maintained.
Predicting the current economic state Nisar stated that the inflation rate would reach a record high in the month of October.
“The prime minister should reveal the good news he had promised one and a half months ago,” he demanded.
Nisar further added that such an atmosphere filled with chaos and panic will only suit the enemy. “The government needs to take the people into confidence to overcome the problems faced by the country. It’s the responsibility of both the government and the opposition to keep the people united,” he remarked.
