Rangers deployed at police office call FC for their own protection

“In fact, we want Rangers to learn from us how to deal with rioters,” said the IGP while talking to a visitor, whose credentials were not released. “Rangers should know how to be impartial when two professional bodies are fighting against each other.”

Fearing attacks from Black Cat gangs, the Rangers troopers, deployed at the Central Police Office and Inspector General of Punjab police house in Lahore have called Frontier Corps for their own protection, according to a yet-to-be-released official handout.

After the wonderful Wednesday show by the police outside the Punjab Institute of Cardiology where no police official was injured while protecting themselves from clashing doctors and lawyers, the newly-appointed IGP Ghulam Dastgir had announced the deployment of Rangers at his own official residence and the CPO.

“In fact, we want Rangers to learn from us how to deal with rioters,” said the IGP while talking to a visitor, whose credentials were not released. “Rangers should know how to be impartial when two professional bodies are fighting against each other.”

Now, it has emerged that the Rangers, who are eager to resume their duties in Karachi, have called FC troops for their own protection.

Soon after assuming the charge of protection of Rangers at CPO and IGP House, the FC troops approached local DSPs in Lahore and asked them to save from the attack the potential attack of Black Cat gangs.

A group of Jamiat Talaba Islam has also offered to protect important installations of Lahore on the condition of allowing them to establish their wings there. The offer was vetted by Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and his cabinet.

The reason for rejecting the proposal is that almost all the ministers, including the chief minister, have been beaten by the Jamiat in college.
