Shehbaz Sharif was guilty of corruption worth billions of rupees. This was stated by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Accountability, Shahzad Akbar, on Thursday during a joint press conference along with Federal Minister Murad Saeed.
Akbar added that in the last decade, Shehbaz’s assets grew by 70 percent.
Ary News reported that Shehbaz’s claims of not doing corruption of a single penny are false. “His corruption story includes transformation of billions of rupees through illegal means.”
“It came to limelight as a result of a NAB investigation into Shehbaz’s asset which took place in 2015,” Akbar said.
Suleman Shehbaz’s assets grew by thousand percent while remarkable increase was observed in assets owned by his elder son and sitting MNA Hamza Shehbaz Sharif.
“Shehbaz Sharif established 32 fake companies which were used in money laundering and these companies brought back billions of rupees through TT transactions,” Akbar accused.
Akbar alleged that the Sharif family laundered money through 200 TTs and set up new businesses in last decade.
He added that the companies which formed in 2015, astonishingly done business of Rs 7 billion.
He further said that three employees of Shehbaz’s GMC Company were identified who were involved in running this multi-billion rupee network.
These employees were working at the CM Secretariat on different posts, he alleged.
Nisar Gul, who is in NAB’s custody has admitted that this was a fake company through which they laundered seven billion rupees, Akbar said.
Akbar put forward 18 questions for the PML-N president and challenged him to respond to them, Geo news reported.
Akbar asked 18 questions from the PML-N president through the people from media fraternity.
“We (government) have gathered enough proofs regarding Shehbaz’s financial irregularities. I request the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to immediately look into the serious matter of Shehbaz Sharif’s corruption,” said Akbar.
Akbar opined that the taxpayers looted money will be brought back to the country by all means.
