Sharing his experience of the Kartarpur pilgrimage, Indian action hero Sunny Deol says that visiting the Baba Guru Nanak Gurdwara in Kartarpur and shaking hands with Chief Minister Usman Buzdar were his long-time wishes, which, by the blessing of the peace corridor, had come true.
“When I learned about Buzdar’s arrival at the border crossing, I immediately got my seat book, canceled all shooting dates, and rushed to the Sultan Lodhi border crossing point a day before the scheduled departure” said Deol in his stylish tone.
He said that once in Pakistan, he avoided a selfie with Aneel Mussarat because that could have wasted his precious time.
“On my request, I was given a seat on the bus where Mr Buzdar got on,” he told a crowded press conference in Indian Punjab.
The 10-minute journey from the border to the gurdwara was done in silence.
“After shaking hands, Mr Buzdar remained silent. Perhaps he did not recognize me. Though one of the delegates introduced me to him that “it’s Sunny Deol, the famous actor of Bollywood, Mr Buzdar responded with a smile and then looked to the driver.”
When asked to comment on Sunny Deol’s excitement on the meeting, Mr Buzdar said he was trying hard to control dengue and by the grace of God, he would succeed in his efforts.
