In Hyderabad, a train hit a freight car that lead to three deaths and several injuries. The deceased were identified as Aslam Chandio, Syed Noman Ali and Yasir Bashir. Edhi volunteers helped in transferring the injured to Liaquat University Hospital for treatment.
Many rangers and police men rushed to the spot to keep the bystanders away from the track. Fire tenders also reached the spot to spray the wreckage to avoid any chances of engine and coal getting fire. Railway authorities arranged a crane for the removal of debris and restore the track. Chief Minister of Sindh, Murad Ali Shah also expressed his sorrow on the incident and directed the Hyderabad commissioner to provide the injured with any assistance they require. Railway Minister, Sheikh Rasheed also expressed his grief over the incident and made a video statement in which he said that he has sent a CO to look into the matter and on Saturday he will give his decision on this.
He concluded by apologising from the passengers for the inconvenience and said that train has departed taking the unharmed passengers to their destination as the train lines had been opened and cleared for traffic.
